Stop thinking “if only we could convince people” of something, that things would change. Just stop that. It’s not about explaining.

We need a shadow government to scrutinize everything that happens at HHS.
Every policy decision and everything that comes out of that entire HHS department, and all the agencies within, needs to be scrutinized.
Political abuse of psychiatry.
Authoritarians always target mentally disabled people as low hanging fruit, and the definition of mental disability is always flexible. People are rightfully upset about the Minnesota bill by state lawmakers to try to dictate a medical diagnosis of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” toward any Republican detractors. And I’d like to point out that this slide toward political […]
Accelerationist James Carville at a retreat this week advising House Dems and Dem governors.
The Democrats have an apocalyptic hopium problem. Nobody should be listening to James Carville for any reason.
Offering vaccines at hospitals should be standard across the board.
Now is the time to track your state level legislation around vaccinations. To find out about bills and actions you can sign up for the free citizen level versions of a variety of “bill tracking services” – apps that will send you emails daily or in weekly digests, on topics and keywords you use.
Speak to your own representatives, as a constituent – once more, this time with feeling.
You’re not going to be heard by Hakeem Jeffries unless maybe you’re some kind of business mogul, and maybe, just maybe, if you live in his district.
Parks, forests, and nature, are economic powerhouses, actually.
If all you care about is the economics when it comes to parks and public lands, then you should want them, because setting aside and preserving nature is actually very good for The Economy.
TheLetterHack livestream on THE US POSTAL SERVICE.
I went on TheLetterHack livestream this past week to talk about the US Postal Service, as a big fan of the postal service.
Medicaid info town hall by Pennsylvania state Rep Kosierowski.
I listened to the whole thing in case you can’t or don’t want to. (Voila, you can thank me later!)
The mass firing of federal workers is a privatization boondoggle to rip off taxpayers and put us into company towns.
It couldn’t be clearer that the whole purpose of firing all these staff is to privatize everything by force, and follow through with their plans to form corporate fiefdoms.
CFPB was setting right decades of wrongs, but Elon Musk decided it all belongs to him.
CFPB has been making rules to stop bad actors ripping us off in the financial system. Who gains by supporting rip-offs of the American people exactly?
Less regulation, more misinfo, buyer beware.
In an era of rampant medical misinformation, health claims need scrutiny. Any claim made really – slow down and consider it.
Dark money has been trying to dismantle the EPA for years.
The EPA is not supposed to consider business, only the effects to public health.
When it’s Family, it’s nepotism.
NBC News – Secretive Christian group at heart of D.C. politics ready for its close-up in Netflix docuseries “The Family” puts the spotlight on the enigmatic Fellowship Foundation, the Christian group behind the National Prayer Breakfast. Aug. 9, 2019 By Ethan Sacks While the annual event is purportedly hosted by members of Congress, it is actually […]
Air out the particle board furniture.
The government needs to regulate formaldehyde, including in furniture, as it’s a health hazard.
James Carville is pushing Accelerationism.
Apocalyptic hopium isn’t just lazy or bizarre, it’s curious and we should all be suspicious when it’s pushed.
It’s a mistake to assume any of it is a mistake.
They really are actual eugenicists. Didn’t those salutes tip you off?
Jellyfish Rob Bresnahan folds like a cheap lawn chair and breaks promise to not cut Medicaid.
My representative in Congress, Rep. Rob Bresnahan (R, PA-08), had promised not to vote for cuts to Medicaid, and was quoted saying, “If a bill is put in front of me that guts the benefits my neighbors rely on, I will not vote for it.” And yet, he voted for the bill that mathematically would have to cut Medicaid.
Social security is essential necessary social insurance.
robertreich – march 2, 2025 Elon Musk called Social Security a “ponzi scheme.” This is absolute rubbish. Social Security has paid every benefit owed to every eligible American for 85 years. Perhaps the bigger “ponzi scheme” is the $38 billion spent by taxpayers to prop up his corporations? This social security lie is the biggest […]
The right-wing chopping at the American weather service.
The right-wing chopping at the American weather service.
Government Executive – DOGE enters NOAA, accesses IT systems and removes the top HR official – The Musk-led team is rooting out DEI and, some lawmakers fear, may have an eye toward grander aims at the agency. February 5, 2025 02:55 PM ET Eric Katz
My letter to reps:
There is no profit motive for maintaining public safety, that’s why the weather service has to be a community government effort. The Elon Musk people should stay the hell away from my weather service. I don’t trust things already. If I can’t trust the weather information, then where are we? Nobody can plan for anything or trust anything if NOAA is corrupted.
Please feel free to copy or repurpose the contents of my letter for your own letters to reps.
The surveillance state already exists, including at healthcare appointments.
Members of law enforcement agencies may have the ability to track the medical appointments of any patient of Kaiser Permanente (which owns Geisinger in Pennsylvania), without a warrant and without any probable cause, for any reason that may interest them.
