“Moderate” voices said don’t worry Roe V Wade is settled law, you’re fear mongering. Then the Dodds decision came. “Moderate” people said don’t worry you can always one-way mask (never mind that’s not possible at the dentist anyway) – then came the mask ban laws being proposed!

Don’t listen to people telling you vaccines are in no danger of being restricted.
There are burrowed in Trump appointees in all the agencies pushing for right-wing interests to prevail, even within the agencies of the Biden administration. Last year they were trying to restrict them, all the op-eds were out there pushing that vaccines shouldn’t be recommended for everyone, but people pushed back and spoke up. Even Paul Offit, who is on the FDA VRBPAC committee, supposed strong vaccine proponent, was strangely suggesting that the vaccine should be limited to only the very very old, which flies in the face of how vaccination campaigns should work. The goal should be to get as many people vaccinated as possible, and yet we have no real vaccination campaign. Is this just an accident?
The GOP are having congressional hearings that bring on threats to retired government officials like Dr. Fauci, attended by someone seen behind Dr. Fauci (to the left) in the hearings, who is telling everyone they’re organizing posse comitatus county sheriffs to “deputize” anti-vax ex-military grievanced maga supporters to do “live streamed swatting raids” on people on their shit lists because they promoted vaccines. I WISH this was made up and that I’m the crank. I’m just pointing out the reality, and this stuff is real.
Are they really planning an anti-vax military retiree interahamwe in America? If the far right wrests power, the best case scenario is that possibly medical technology gets shelved and masks and vaccines are maybe banned. The worst case scenario is… worse. CHLOE HUMBERT MAY 28, 2024
We still have the ability for civic engagement, so now is the time to speak up. Don’t wait for the vaccines to be restricted before speaking up.
The public comment process is a legitimate means of public engagement. You know what’s pointless? Spamming the CDC director or other public servants with anonymous emails that they will chuck in the trash assuming they are from Russian paid troll bots.
Whatever is the issue that you’re concerned about, the best course of action is to not wait to lose what you still have, to stand up as a constituent and be counted, write your reps, submit public comments, engage in democracy.
