I think people really normalcy bias’d the first Trump administration. There was pushback that’s the only thing that stopped nonsense back then too.

The U.S. president has threatened to use tariffs to squeeze Denmark into relinquishing its claim on the world’s largest island.
I realize that some people would call the people who fled Pompeii “alarmists” but alarm is appropriate when the volcano is erupting!
People need to stop it with the normalcy bias.

Seizing the Panama Canal is inappropriate. Invading or even a trade war with Canada is inappropriate. Threats to Greenland are inappropriate. We are supposed to be a civilized society, and Trump and many Republicans claimed to be anti-war, so the rhetoric & plans I’m hearing about are grossly inappropriate and against anything anyone campaigned on, and nobody voted for this outrageous bonkers nonsense. What are you doing to put a stop to this crap madness?
