Company towns, network states, freedom cities…

The tech tycoons plan to take public land and remove democracy. Everyone needs to get up to speed on this.

Gil Duran has a 5 minute explainer video, so you can get others up to speed on what these “freedom cities” mean, why the Trump administration and Republicans want to sell off public lands, and that “network state” is the new company town.

My grandma grew up in a “coal patch settlement” in the 1920s which was a village owned and controlled by an anthracite coal company tycoon. My father took me on a hike a few times when I was a child, to the ruins of this village, back in the 1970s. We thought this was a thing of the past, but they’re trying to renew this idea and make it even worse.

The modern day tycoons have already been attempting to create these private fiefdoms places like this in northern CaliforniaHonduras, and now Texas and Guantánamo Bay. This is what’s behind some of this bonkers talk about Greenland.

They want company towns that they control like CEO ruled company kingdoms. These people are monarchists. And they want to escape regulations and public oversight.

A Tech Blueprint to Dismantle the USA The Nerd Reich with Gil Duran Mar 14, 2025 So what’s their endgame and how are these new Trump Freedom cities part of it let’s start here this isn’t your grandfather’s corporate lobbying these billionaires don’t want to just influence government they want to become the government they seek a system that protects their wealth punishes their critics and uses AI and crypto to make their power permanent and having their very own new capitols to drive that power from is part of it here’s how we fight back expose The Playbook most Americans don’t realize this takeover is happening…

This whole scheme is entirely linked to cryptocurrency and AI hype, the data center debacles, the fossil fuel industry and dastardly environmental plans connected to it all.

The image is 2 photos, one is of a man in a baseball cap, black leather jacket and tan cargo pants standing in a museum among life size statues of people including a shabbily dressed man with a duffle bag, trench coat and golf cap looking tired, another statue of a man in light blue overalls and a red scarf and train conductor hat standing straight back against a wall, and the third statue is of a businessman leaning back against a wall all in a black top hat, black long coat, black pants, black boots, a white shirt with a black tie, wearing white gloves and holding a black cane, and looking downward. Next to the top hat man is a yellow sign the image includes a closeup of the yellow sign which has a one line quote from J.P. Morgan saying I owe the public nothing.
