Regardless of Donald Trump seemingly having turned against mail ballots again because Vladimir Putin said something dodgy about it to him, in the last election cycle there were nonstop ads in Pennsylvania running with Trump himself urging his supporters to vote by mail in Pennsylvania. And this year, there are again a lot of ads in Pennsylvania promoting Republicans and encouraging Republican voters to vote by mail to not retain the PA Supreme Court Justices, and the commercials reference voting by mail to win like they did to win in 2024. J6 insurrectionist and failed candidate for governor, PA Senator Doug Mastriano came out in 2024 as being pro mail ballot very prominently on formerly-twitter posts. I suspect they know a lot of conservative voters are elderly people who don’t want to go stand in line or go get covid at the polls, and don’t really want to have to do the disability absentee ballot hassle. So I don’t know about anywhere else, but in Pennsylvania mail ballots are bipartisan. And it looks like Republicans are going to be trying to make sure that their supporters get their mail ballots squared away. Democrats really need to make sure registered Dems are getting their mail ballots in order.
