Elon Musk says he’s doing a “corporate takeover” of America… via the postal service.

Elon Musk appears to be potentially looking to seize total control over free communication in America, especially rural America.

Everyone should be asking their representatives how they’re squaring this, because it’s not ok, it’s not normal, it’s not legal, it’s not American, and it’s not democracy.

The New Republic – Ellie Quinlan Houghtaling / March 5, 2025 Elon Musk Reveals Next Targets in “Corporate Takeover” of the U.S. Here’s what’s next on DOGE’s chopping block. Elon Musk told some of biggest investors Wednesday that he’s looking to fully take over the federal government. In a meeting with Morgan Stanley, the tech billionaire reportedly likened his influence over the federal government to a “corporate takeover.” (emphasis added)

Of course he’s doing it for the corporate welfare. But it’s also about tycoons getting monopoly control over rural telecommunications.

The New Republic – Hafiz Rashid / March 5, 2025 Elon Musk’s Starlink Is About to Get a Nice Big Government Handout Elon Musk is about to get a whole lot richer off Donald Trump’s planned internet overhaul.

With Elon Musk controlling telecommunications in rural areas, and Jeff Bezos getting control over mail delivery in rural locations, they can completely cut off a lot of areas from access to private communication that’s not manipulated and monitored by the tech tycoons. Trump and these tycoons must want this in order to consolidate power over every detail, every last communication by Americans with each other and the rest of the world. Trump has expressed admiration for Kim Jong Un, so you have to wonder if they actually want North Korea type clamp down on communication, to completely take over the American people’s ability to communicate with each other.

The US Postal Service is a constitutionally prescribed public service. Any effort to dismantle it is both illegal and unAmerican.

My letter to reps:

I want the postal service to remain the U.S. postal service and continue serving the people with mail delivery without regard for profitability. Any attempt to thwart it, privatize it, change it, or dismantle it is unacceptable. Tampering with the US Postal Service is distinctly unAmerican, and Elon Musk needs to be completely barred from anything to do with it, by whatever means necessary to defend the Constitution.

Trump Plans Order to Take Over USPS, Threatening Mail Voting Democracy Docket Mar 6, 2025

Some think it’s also a grab to subvert mail voting and disenfranchise the elderly and disabled. I think there’s some truth to that too. But Republicans in Pennsylvania have backtracked on that. Even insurrectionist Mastriano went pro mail ballot in recent years, he’s tweeted that out multiple times. And in most of 2024, we got ads here in PA where Trump was encouraging Trump voters to register to vote by mail in Pennsylvania. It’s likely because many elderly Republicans vote by mail in Pennsylvania.

Postcarding The Ides of March, a message to the Trump administration.

I heard through the grapevine that there’s a campaign encouraging people, to mail out postcards to the White House on March 15th with messages of disapproval of the Trump Musk regime.

Why not send a postcard to the White House saying “Hell no!” to dismantling the Postal Service!
