I am grateful that you are participating in our democratic process and engaging with your government — civic engagement is the cornerstone of our democracy, and we all need to do our part. Pennsylvania is the birthplace of American democracy, and for the 47th time in our nation’s history, we inaugurated a new president—completing the peaceful transfer of power and proving that our democracy continues to endure. As I have always said, the will of the people must be respected, and President Trump, after being duly elected by the American people, now holds the sacred duty of leading this nation forward for the next four years. As Governor, I go to work every single day focused on making life better for all Pennsylvanians and delivering results for our communities – rural, urban, and suburban. In my first two years as your Governor, I’ve worked across the aisle — bringing Democrats and Republicans together—to solve problems, cut taxes and reduce costs, create real opportunity in our classrooms, invest in public safety, create jobs, and grow our economy. I remain committed to those commonsense Pennsylvania priorities, and, where our priorities are aligned, I stand ready to work with the Trump Administration to continue our progress here in Pennsylvania.

Please don’t expect Josh Shapiro to emerge as a leader for us. That’s a hopeless cause and should be dismissed outright. He is complicit. He’s not a solution, he’s part of the problem.
