On the nature of data centers.

I worked one hot summer at a data center about 20 years ago and the one thing that stood out to me at the time, and has stuck with me all these years later, is that this was in Scranton Pennsylvania. And. yet I would go to work when it was 95F outside (35C), and inside the building it was so chilly I started wearing my late father’s hunting jacket at my desk because it was either that or a winter coat because it was too cold for a cardigan or a flannel shirt! In August!

I especially think about this when I hear about data centers in Arizona.
