I believe the only answer here is that the congresspeople and senators all get unimaginable pressure. Also state reps and governors. The pressure has to come from their constituents… not just rando elite doctors signing a petition or something. The pressure has to come from the people in their districts.
Senator Cassidy calling to POSTPONE the ACIP meeting makes no sense when the reason I can’t get COVID vaccines in Pennsylvania now is because the ACIP meeting hasn’t taken place yet.
