I shop at that store all the time but for the past two weeks from salad to chips it’s been bad. Purchased a salad and when I opened it up it smelled so bad. Today I open up a bag a chips and it smelled like pure chemicals. Had the same issue with prepared foods from the deli area. I never had this issue there before but lately something is wrong. I wish food stores weren’t allowed to have cleaning supplies at all! 2 Reactions heart and smiley. Reply: Had that experience at several stores, the store may not be aware of it unless people bring it to their attention (it’s a lame excuse but good help is hard to find these days). There are very specific regulatory guidelines that must be followed in food environments, politely informing the store manager should get immediate attention. 4 reactions hearts. Reply: Well nobody knows what a bag of chip taste like because they’re not opened and it depends on what kind of salad she got and if she’s. been sick lately. Reply: This post made me think about some groceries I’ve bought in the recent past that have gone bad faster than normal. I don’t recall any weird smelis, though. Also could the packaging issues (meat, etc) be a result of the labor shortage/new and inexperienced employees? We should all be diligent about returning items and more importantly speaking to a manager so they know about it. 2 reactions, smiley & heart. Reply: Produce is terrible anymore. The last year or so especially strawberries and blueberries. 1 reaction heart. Reply: There hasn’t even been any salads in the store for a week now. They were recalled. 2 reactions, heart & gaping face. Reply: the hospitals are full they’ve called in the military and many grocery stores and walmarts across the nation are closing for 2 days at a time because people are getting sick. We should all expect problems with grocery stores, because this time they decided that the restaurants bars & gyms should stay open and it’s fine if the grocery stores close for days at a time. Don’t be surprised if lots of things spoil while the stores have to abruptly close due to illness. [this comment is marked Chloe in red marker] 3 reactions, smiley, gaping face, heart.
