What good are some more jobs if our quality of life is ruined, our health is damaged, a lot of people are harmed, nothing productive is accomplished, and the planet becomes uninhabitable?
I was looking to see who’s involved in all these data center power plant boondoggles in Pennsylvania, and I found this “article” that lists them all and it’s really just stenography of PR statements from companies who are involved in these data center power plant boondoggles, putting out their propaganda.
Someone with some savvy should go through these companies and find out what’s wrong with them, because just a cursory glance tells me that’s plenty.
It’s gotten to the point where these people are so clueless about how “bringing the jobs” isn’t the amenable promise they think it is, that they just have to keep sticking that bucket down that same trickle down economics well, hoping that they can recapture the glories where people fell for these lies in yesteryears that led us to the mayhem of today and the dark future we are facing if things don’t change. And the so-called “job creators” aren’t making solutions, only problems.
They just totally miss the point that people want jobs that are meaningful, for things that make our lives better, not worse. And these AI and crypto boondoggles are making everything worse.
But even Democrats, they say to people essentially, something like: “We’re giving your taxpayer money out as corporate welfare, but here you go, you can toil, little worker, and be grateful.” All while they say there’s no money for good things, they rip away pensions, cut public programs, jack up health insurance prices, and keep dangling out the hope for scraps trapped in a gig economy convincing each other this is normal, and then enduring what invariably turns out to be a bait and switch – every time.
And that’s because trickle down economics is right-wing discredited propaganda. It’s bullshit. It’s always been bullshit, but how many are still ready to eat that bullshit and like it?
