When a big decision with serious ramifications is rushed, that’s a big big red flag for scams and fraud. People are right to want to slow down and allow stakeholders to engage in critical thinking.
Universities should disclose if students paying exorbitant tuition are getting AI slop.
People don’t go into life altering oppressive debt to go to a university to get served chatbot garbage that may or may not even be accurate.

We need public information campaigns on scams.
There’s a public library making video content on this, but we need more. There should be robust funding of libraries to be able to do this, and also just public figures being sent out to warn people about how scams are perpetrated.
