Whistleblower book about the culty Tesla workplace.

This is an eye opening interview with financial journalist Sönke Iwersen that includes lots of creepy deets about Tesla workplaces in Europe.

I do resent the idea that Americans are just ok with having employers do things like bully their noses into our medical information. We don’t like this when it happens. We just have had decades of propaganda convincing people who came before us that rich people should take more, and now those rich people take more and so also make the rules now. The author does specify that a lot of the abusive creep crap is part of Silicon Valley startup work culture, but I’d say it’s taken a step beyond. I also don’t agree with the author that Elon Musk is smart or that he built any of this, I don’t think he’s half as shrewd even as Jeff Bezos frankly, and I think that all these tycoons are basically people who are born on third base, get very lucky, and are willing to probably act with questionable ethics.

I probably won’t be reading this book because I’ve got so many books queued up right now, and also I’ve had some horrible workplace experiences in my life, and I shouldn’t like to read something that might make me feel better about those experiences!
