This is what I found over a year ago on the doctor Jordan Vaughn who’s now on the CDC ACIP working group as a “subject matter expert”:
Vaughn, what team is he actually on? A second opinion on the politics of the pandemic healthcare landscape. Chloe Humbert · May 8, 2024 Jordan Vaughn, the son of a doctor, in May 2023, tells Youtuber Gez Medinger that Jordan Vaughn’s father started their practice the year he was born, and, in this interview he said of their practice: “kind of always done our own thing which is whatever we thought was best for the patient and uh really you know kind of separating ourselves from kind of the I guess big academic Medical Center or big kind of hospital system and especially in the last three years that’s been really beneficial to be able to help people because sometimes the answers aren’t necessarily coming from some, you know, bureaucrat in the central government.”(1) Not sure what he means by “central government” exactly.
He’s affiliated somehow with Pierre Kory‘s anti-vax outfit. Over a year ago I found progressive left people promoting dubious Long Covid remedies and covid prophylactics, some that were pushed as covid remedies in 2020 in quacky kind of Qanon circles. Some people just over a year ago were applauding some hypothetical treatment based on a year old preprint that as far as I know never actually got peer reviewed and published. Some people were reporting that they were getting prescribed this treatment by Jordan Vaughn, so I did a pretty extensive deep dive reading news articles he was quoted in earlier in the pandemic, and numerous podcast interviews he did that were available on Youtube & Facebook, many are referenced in the 130 footnotes at the bottom of the post I made on Medium.
I’ve written about this right-wing anti-vax infiltration of Long Covid chronic illness advocacy several times now, and it’s not unprecedented.
