Where are all the doctors who could be informing their patients? And where are the hospital lobbyists?

We know there’s tons of lobbyists working on the behalf of big healthcare corporations. Yet they seem to have let this healthcare industry destroying big boondoggle bill succeed. What happened?

The Incoming Medical Collapse Will Impact Everyone | Dr. Rob Davidson | TMR – The Majority Report w/ Sam Seder  Jul 12, 2025 (youtube)

“I think the reality is I think doctors, patients, hospitals, I think hospital systems need to be brave and communicate to the public what this means to their system and their community and not worry about getting called names by Trump. I think doctors need to be brave and stand up and communicate effectively.”

– Rob Davidson

My letter to the CEOs of my local hospital and healthcare systems and health insurance companies:

What happened that you got on board with this big boondoggle bill? I know and you know that it’s going to force hospitals to close, and force even more nursing homes to close. You know that this means they will refuse Medicaid coverage to people with serious health conditions who need expensive life saving emergency surgeries just because they don’t meet the 12+ months disability criteria and didn’t work the 4 weeks out of the month while they were in a medical crisis. It’s going to curtail people going to medical school, and will make steep cuts to Medicare, which will probably jeopardize doctor training residency programs. People will surely demand that extra going toward Medicare Advantage be stopped because it costs more. It’s peculiar that you’re not lobbying politicians on this, and not doing your usual advertising PR blitzes on this issue, or at least informing patients about it. So why not? Why would you be in favour of drastic cuts to healthcare options for the communities you serve? Explain it for me.

Aftershock of Trump’s Budget Bill: Ghoulish Profiteering July 10, 2025 – Paging America (podcast)

“I don’t want Congressman Bresnahan to experience any poor health, but I wouldn’t mind if he experienced a little extra administration burden in the years to come. At some point he’s going to have to fill out an extra piece of paperwork.”  – Miles Baker

I want Rob Bresnahan to have to do MY medical paperwork. I would like it if he was forced to do all my interactions associated with my family’s FSA account benefits manager. And I’ll admit that having to do that I’m sure actually at least exacerbates, if not causes health issues.
